New Video Editing and Production Class to Start in October
The Video Production Introductory class is an opportunity to create programs for yourself, as well as local public access channels YouTube and other video venues. It’s an interactive course, co-sponsored by the Ayer Shirley Community Education Program and the Ayer Public Access Corporation (APAC). It will offer new concepts and tools during each class. Students who take the course will have an opportunity at the course end to become members of APAC, which will give them opportunities to use APAC equipment to create video programs for the Ayer public access channels .
Classes start, Oct. 29 and run for four weeks.

Throughout the classes, students have free time to creatively experiment with newly gained knowledge as they complete projects that incorporate various techniques. The classes will provide students with an understanding of the basics techniques and aesthetics of video production.
Using a hands-on approach the student will learn the skills involved in production planning, script preparation, storyboarding, shooting and post production including non-linear editing using Adobe Premiere. Students will have the opportunity to work with Adobe Premiere to practice the tools presented and gain a deeper understanding of visual communication.

We are the non-profit corporation that provides access, training, and other assistance to organizations and residents of Ayer, Massachusetts, that wish to create public access content for Channels Eight, Nine, and Ninety Nine on the local cablecasting network. We record and cablecast important town and school committee meetings, school sports, and special events and help residents create special public affairs programs.
Our live and recorded programs are broadcast on Channel Eight and many past programs are now available for viewing on demand through the Viewer Dashboard, or through links at the Town of Ayer website.
